machine translationAbān al-ʿAṭṭār narrated this hadith from Qatādah, from ʿAbdullāh b. Abī ʿUtbah, from Abū Saʿīd, from the Prophet ﷺ. So which of the two is correct? My father said: I heard Abū Ziyād Ḥammād b. Zādhān narrating these two hadiths from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān. Then he said: I heard ʿAbd al-Raḥmān say: I think only that Abān had memorized it. My father said: The hadith of Abān is more correct than the hadith of Shuʿbah.
