حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ
إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْجُلُوسَ بِالطُّرُقَاتِ، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا لَنَا مِنْ مَجَالِسِنَا بُدٌّ؛ نَتَحَدَّثُ فِيهَا قَالَ: فَأَعْطُوا الطَّرِيقَ حَقَّهَا، قَالُوا وَمَا حَقُّ الطَّرِيقِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ؟ قَالَ: غَضُّ الْبَصَرِ، وَكَفُّ الْأَذَى، وَالْأَمْرُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَالنَّهْيُ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ

✧ "Beware of sitting in the pathways." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, we have no alternative to our gatherings; we talk in them." He said: "Then give the road its right." They said: "What is the right of the road, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Lowering the gaze, refraining from harm, enjoining good, and forbidding evil."
