✧ No sooner had Khaybar been conquered than we fell upon those green herbs, and we ate them greedily, for the people were hungry. Then we went to the mosque, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ noticed the odor and said: 'Whoever has eaten anything of this evil tree should not come near us in the mosque.' The people said: 'It has been forbidden, it has been forbidden.' That reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said: 'O people, it is not for me to forbid what Allah has made lawful, but it is a tree whose odor I dislike.'
