✧ "Who has seen the young man al-Dawsi? Who has seen the young man al-Dawsi?" A man said to him: "He is there, feverish in the corner of the mosque, where you see, O Messenger of Allah." So he came and placed his hand on me and said something good to me, and I stood up. He went until he stood at the place where he prayed. With him that day were two rows of men and one row of women, or two rows of women and one row of men. He turned to them and said: "If Satan makes me forget something of my prayer, let the men glorify and the women clap." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed and did not forget anything of his prayer. When he finished, he turned his face to them and said: "Stay in your places. Is there any man among you who, when he goes to his family, locks his door and lowers his curtain, then goes out and talks, saying: 'I did such-and-such with my wife, I did such-and-such with my wife?'" They remained silent. He turned to the women and said: "Is there any of you who talks?" A young girl knelt on one of her knees and stretched up so that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ could see her and hear her words. She said: "Yes, by Allah, they do talk, and they do talk." He said: "Do you know what the one who does that is like? The one who does that is like a devil and a she-devil who meet in the road and satisfy their need while people are watching them." Then he said: "Indeed, no man should be alone with a man, nor a woman with a woman, except with a child or parent." He said: and he mentioned a third, but I forgot it. "Indeed, the perfume of men is that which has a scent but no visible color, and the perfume of women is that which has a visible color but no scent."
