✧ Every deed of the son of Adam is for him except fasting; it is for Me and I reward it. By Him in whose hand is my soul, the breath of a fasting person is sweeter in the sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection than the fragrance of musk. Fasting is a shield, and the fasting person has two joys: when he breaks his fast he rejoices at breaking it, and when he meets his Lord, Mighty and Majestic, he rejoices at his fasting.
