حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ سَلْعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ خَيْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا يَقُولُ
قَبَضَ اللهُ نَبِيَّهُ ﷺ عَلَى خَيْرِ مَا قُبِضَ عَلَيْهِ نَبِيٌّ مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ، ثُمَّ اسْتُخْلِفَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، فَعَمِلَ بِعَمَلِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّهِ، وَعُمَرُ كَذَلِكَ
Translation

✧ Allah took His Prophet ﷺ in the best manner in which any prophet among the prophets (peace be upon them) was taken. Then Abu Bakr was appointed as successor, and he acted according to the practice of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the Sunnah of his Prophet, and so did Umar.
