✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled regarding a fetus that a male or female slave be given as compensation. The one against whom the ruling was made said: ‘Should compensation be paid for one who neither drank nor ate nor cried out nor made any sound? Such a one is dismissed.’ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Indeed, this man speaks in the words of a poet. Yes, for it there is a compensation: a male or female slave.’
