The Milky Way

حَدَّثَنَا عَارِمٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ الْقَوْسُ أَمَانٌ لأَهْلِ الأَرْضِ مِنَ الْغَرَقِ وَالْمَجَرَّةُ بَابُ السَّمَاءِ الَّذِي تَنْشَقُّ مِنْهُ
Translation
✧ Ibn ʿAbbās ؓ said: “The rainbow is a safeguard for the people of the earth from drowning, and the Milky Way is the gate of the heaven from which it splits.”
