When one hears a thunder-clap

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا
سَمِعَ الرَّعْدَ تَرَكَ الْحَدِيثَ وَقَالَ سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي {يُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِ} ثُمَّ يَقُولُ إِنَّ هَذَا لَوَعِيدٌ شَدِيدٌ لأهْلِ الأرْضِ
Translation
Chain of narrators
- Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (ra) stopped speaking when he heard a thunder-clap and said:
✧ When he heard thunder, he stopped speaking and said: “Glory be to the One whom the thunder glorifies with His praise, and the angels from fear of Him.” Then he would say: “This is a severe warning to the people of the earth.”
