حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ حَيَّانَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ:

سَأَلْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ بَنِي نَاجِيَةَ قَالَ: هُمْ مِنَّا. قَالَ سَعْدٌ: يَرْوُونَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: هُمْ حَيٌّ مِنِّي قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: وَأَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ: وَأَنَا مِنْهُمْ

Translation

✧ I asked Sa'd b. Ibrahim about the Banu Najiya and he said: They are from us. Sa'd said: They narrate from Sa'id b. Zayd, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: They are a tribe from me. Shu'ba said: And I think he said: And I am from them.
