حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو طَالِبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، أَنَّ أَبَا كَثِيرٍ الْمُحَارِبِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ خَرَشَةَ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ:

إِنَّهُ سَتَكُونُ بَعْدِي فِتَنٌ، النَّائِمُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَقْظَانِ، وَالْقَاعِدُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْقَائِمِ، وَالْقَائِمُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْمَاشِي، فَمَنْ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ فَلْيَأْخُذْ سَيْفَهُ، ثُمَّ لِيَمْشِ إِلَى صَفَاةٍ فَيَضْرِبَهَا حَتَّى تَتَكَسَّرَ، ثُمَّ لِيَضْطَجِعْ لَهَا حَتَّى تَنْجَلِيَ عَلَى مَا انْجَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ

Translation

✧ “After me there will be trials, in which the one sleeping is better than the one awake, and the one sitting is better than the one standing, and the one standing is better than the one walking. Whoever comes upon it, let him take his sword, then walk to a rock and strike it until it breaks, then lie down for it until it clears as it clears.”
