حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الطَّالْقَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ رَافِعٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ رِفَاعَةَ، قَالَ:

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ، يَقُولُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، وَبَكَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ حِينَ ذَكَرَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، ثُمَّ سُرِّيَ عَنْهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، وَبَكَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ حِينَ ذَكَرَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، ثُمَّ سُرِّيَ عَنْهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي هَذَا الْقَيْظِ عَامَ الْأَوَّلِ، يَقُولُ: سَلُوا اللهَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ وَالْيَقِينَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَالْأُولَى.

✧ I heard Abu Bakr al-Siddiq saying on the pulpit: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and Abu Bakr wept when he mentioned the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then he recovered, then he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and Abu Bakr wept when he mentioned the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then he recovered, then he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in this intense heat last year, saying: Ask Allah for pardon, well-being, and certainty in the Hereafter and in this world.
