حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَنْقَزِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا خَلَّادُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الصَّفَّارُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، فِي قَوْلِ اللهِ:

الر تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ إِنَّا أَنْـزَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ نَحْنُ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ أَحْسَنَ الْقَصَصِ الْآيَةَ قَالَ: نَزَلَ الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَتَلَاهُ عَلَيْهِمْ زَمَانًا، فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، لَوْ قَصَصْتَ عَلَيْنَا ؟ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ عَلَيْنَا: الر تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ إِنَّا أَنْـزَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا الْآيَةَ، فَتَلَاهُ عَلَيْهِمْ زَمَانًا، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَوْ حَدَّثْتَنَا ؟ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ: اللهُ نَـزَّلَ أَحْسَنَ الْحَدِيثِ كِتَابًا مُتَشَابِهًا الْآيَةَ، كُلَّ ذَلِكَ يُؤْمَرُونَ بِالْقُرْآنِ

✧ Alif Lam Ra. These are the verses of the clear Book. Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an that you may understand. We relate to you the best of stories—the verse. He said: The Qur'an was revealed to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he recited it to them for a time. They said: O Messenger of God, if only you would relate stories to us. Then God revealed to us: Alif Lam Ra. These are the verses of the clear Book. Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an—the verse. He recited it to them for a time. They said: O Messenger of God, if only you would tell us. Then God revealed: God has sent down the best of speech, a Book consistent—the verse. All of that they were commanded with the Qur'an.
