✧ Abu Bakr entered upon the Prophet ﷺ while he was gloomy, and the Prophet ﷺ said to him: Why do I see you gloomy? He said: O Messenger of God, I was with a cousin of mine last night, so-and-so, and he was struggling with death. He said: Why didn't you prompt him to say: There is no god but God? He said: I did, O Messenger of God. He said: Did he say it? He said: Yes. He said: Paradise is guaranteed for him. Abu Bakr said: O Messenger of God, how is it for the living? He said: It is more destructive of their sins, it is more destructive of their sins.
