✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ relating about Musa ﷺ on the pulpit. He said: It occurred in his mind: Does Allah, Mighty and Majestic, sleep? So Allah sent an angel to him and kept him awake for three nights. Then He gave him two glass bottles, a bottle in each hand, and commanded him to guard them. He said: He began to doze and his hands almost met, then he would wake up and hold one over the other until he slept a sleep, and his hands struck together, and the two bottles broke. He said: Allah struck for him a parable that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, if He slept, the heaven and the earth would not hold together.
