حَدَّثَنَا الْأَشَجُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَشَكَا إِلَيْهِ جَارًا لَهُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ: اصْبِرْ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ فِي الرَّابِعَةِ أَوِ الثَّالِثَةِ: اطْرَحْ مَتَاعَكَ فِي الطَّرِيقِ، قَالَ: فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِ فَيَقُولُونَ: مَا لَكَ ؟ قَالَ: آذَاهُ جَارُهُ، فَجَعَلُوا يَقُولُونَ: لَعَنَهُ اللهُ، فَجَاءَ جَارُهُ، فَقَالَ: تَرُدُّ مَتَاعَكَ وَلَا أُوذِيكَ أَبَدًا

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and complained about a neighbor of his. The Prophet ﷺ said three times: "Be patient." Then he said to him on the fourth or third time: "Put your belongings out on the road." He did so, and people began passing by him and saying: "What is the matter with you?" He said: "His neighbor has harmed him." They began saying: "May God curse him." Then his neighbor came and said: "Take back your belongings, and I will never harm you again."
