حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:
كَيْفَ أَنْتُمْ إِذَا لَمْ تَجْتَبُوا دِينَارًا وَلَا دِرْهَمًا ؟ قَالُوا: وَتَرَى ذَلِكَ كَائِنًا ؟ قَالَ: إِي وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ بِيَدِهِ، عَنْ قَوْلِ الصَّادِقِ الْمُصَدَّقِ، قَالُوا: وَعَمَّ يَكُونُ هَذَا ؟ قَالَ: تُنْتَهَكُ ذِمَّةُ اللهِ وَذِمَّةُ رَسُولِهِ، فَيَشُدُّ اللهُ قُلُوبَ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ، فَيَمْنَعُونَ مَا فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ
Translation

✧ How will you be when you do not collect a dinar or a dirham?" They said: "Do you think that will happen?" He said: "Yes, by the One in whose hand is the soul of Abu Hurayra, according to the words of the truthful one who was believed." They said: "And why will that happen?" He said: "The protection of God and the protection of His Messenger will be violated, so God will harden the hearts of the protected people, and they will withhold what is in their hands."
