حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَبْنِي الْمَسْجِدَ، فَإِذَا نَقَلَ النَّاسُ حَجَرًا نَقَلَ عَمَّارٌ حَجَرَيْنِ، وَإِذَا نَقَلُوا لَبِنَةً، نَقَلَ لَبِنَتَيْنِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: وَيْحَ ابْنِ سُمَيَّةَ، تَقْتُلُهُ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was building the mosque. When the people carried one stone, ‘Ammar would carry two; when they carried one brick, he carried two. The Messenger of God ﷺ said, “Woe to Ibn Sumayya; the transgressing party will kill him.”
