حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ:
كَانَ أَبِي يُصَلِّي خَلْفَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، قَالَ: وَكَانَتْ صَلَاتُهُ نَحْوًا مِنْ صَلَاةِ قَيْسٍ، يُتِمُّ الرُّكُوعَ وَالسُّجُودَ، فَقِيلَ لِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ: هَكَذَا كَانَتْ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ وَأَجْوَزَ

✧ My father used to pray behind Abu Hurayra in Madinah. He said: His prayer was similar to the prayer of Qays—he completed the bowing and prostration. It was said to Abu Hurayra: Was this how the prayer of the Messenger of God ﷺ was? He said: Yes, and more concise.
