✧ The strong believer is better and more beloved to God than the weak believer, and in each there is good. Be keen on what benefits you, and seek help from God and do not be helpless. And if something befalls you, do not say: 'If only I had done such and such,' but say: 'God has decreed, and what He wills He does.' For 'if only' opens the work of Satan.

machine translationMuḥammad b. ʿAjlān narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated it from Ibn ʿAjlān, from al-Aʿraj, from Abū Hurayrah; Naʿīm b. Yaʿqūb said that from him. Al-Ḥumaydī disagreed with him and narrated it from him, from Ibn ʿAjlān, from a man of the family of Abū Rabīʿah, from al-Aʿraj, from Abū Hurayrah. Ibn al-Mubārak narrated it from Ibn ʿAjlān, from Rabīʿah, from al-Aʿraj, from Abū Hurayrah, and he is Rabīʿah b. ʿUthmān. ʿAbdullāh b. Idrīs narrated it, preserving its chain precisely and excellently: from Rabīʿah b. ʿUthmān, from Muḥammad b. Yaḥyā b. Ḥabbān, from al-Aʿraj, from Abū Hurayrah, and this is the correct one.
