حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّانَ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ. عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

يَا بِلَالُ، مَا أَرْجَى عَمَلٍ عَمِلْتَهُ عِنْدَكَ مَنْفَعَةً فِي الْإِسْلَامِ ؟ قَالَ بِلَالٌ: مَا عَمِلْتُ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ عَمَلًا أَرْجَى عِنْدِي مَنْفَعَةً أَنِّي لَمْ أَتَطَهَّرْ بِطَهُورٍ مِنْ لَيْلٍ أَوْ نَهَارٍ إِلَّا صَلَّيْتُ بِذَلِكَ الطُّهُورِ لِرَبِّي مَا كَتَبَ لِي أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ، قَالَ: فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ اللَّيْلَةَ خَشْفَ نَعْلَيْكَ بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ

✧ O Bilal, what act that you have done do you most hope will benefit you in Islam? Bilal said: I have not done any act in Islam that I more hope will benefit me than that whenever I have purified myself with a purification, by night or by day, I have prayed with that purification for my Lord whatever was ordained for me to pray. He said: Indeed I heard tonight the rustle of your sandals before me in Paradise.
