حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الْمَلِكِ بْنَ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ:

مَنْ كَانَ قَاضِيًا فَقَضَى بِجَوْرٍ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ، وَمَنْ كَانَ قَاضِيًا فَقَضَى بِجَهْلٍ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ، وَمَنْ كَانَ قَاضِيًا فَقَضَى بِعَدْلٍ فَبِالْحَرِيِّ أَنْ يَنْفَلِتَ كَفَافًا

Translation

✧ Whoever is a judge and judges unjustly is among the people of the Fire; whoever is a judge and judges ignorantly is among the people of the Fire; and whoever is a judge and judges justly is most likely to escape with nothing.
