حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى عَلَى عُمَرَ قَمِيصًا أَبْيَضَ، فَقَالَ: جَدِيدٌ قَمِيصُكَ أَوْ غَسِيلٌ ؟ قَالَ: حَسِبْتُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: غَسِيلٌ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: الْبَسْ جَدِيدًا، وَعِشْ حَمِيدًا، وَمُتْ شَهِيدًا

✧ The Prophet ﷺ saw a white shirt on Umar and said: "Is your shirt new or washed?" He said: I think he said: "Washed." The Prophet ﷺ said: "Wear new, live praiseworthy, and die a martyr."
