حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَوَّامُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ:

أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى وَضَعَ قَدَمَهُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ فَاطِمَةَ فَعَلَّمَنَا مَا نَقُولُ إِذَا أَخَذْنَا مَضَاجِعَنَا: ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ تَسْبِيحَةً، وَثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ تَحْمِيدَةً، وَأَرْبَعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ تَكْبِيرَةً، قَالَ عَلِيٌّ: مَا تَرَكْتُهَا بَعْدُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ: وَلَا لَيْلَةَ صِفِّينَ ؟ قَالَ: وَلَا لَيْلَةَ صِفِّينَ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us until he placed his foot between me and Fatima and taught us what to say when we took to our beds: thirty-three glorifications, thirty-three praises, and thirty-four magnifications. ʿAli said, 'I have never abandoned them since.' A man said to him, 'Not even on the night of Siffin?' He said, 'Not even on the night of Siffin.'
