✧ The Prophet ﷺ consulted the Muslims about what should gather them for the prayer. They said: the horn, but he disliked it because of the Jews. Then the bell was mentioned, but he disliked it because of the Christians. That night the call was shown to a man from the Ansar called Abdullah b. Zayd, and Umar b. al-Khattab. The Ansari came to him at night, and the Prophet of Allah ﷺ commanded Bilal, and he gave the call with it. 90 - (5504) - Al-Zuhri said: Bilal added in the call for the Fajr prayer 'prayer is better than sleep', and the Prophet of Allah ﷺ approved it. Umar said: Indeed I saw the like of what he saw, but he preceded me.
