✧ The prophets were presented to me tonight with their nations and their followers from their nations. Then a prophet would pass with three from his ummah, and a prophet would pass with a group from his ummah, and a prophet would pass with a small number, and a prophet would pass with a single man from his ummah, and a prophet would pass with none of his people. Indeed, Allah has informed you about Lot, and He said: 'Is there not among you a right-minded man?' He said: Until Moses came to me in a multitude of the Children of Israel. When I saw them, they amazed me. He said: I said, 'Who are these?' He said, 'This is your brother Moses, son of Imran, and those who followed him from the Children of Israel.' He said: I said, 'My Lord, where is my ummah?' He said, 'Look to your right.' And behold, the hillocks—the hillocks of Makkah—were filled with the faces of men. He said: I said, 'My Lord, who are these?' He said, 'These are your ummah.' He said to me, 'Are you satisfied?' He said: I said, 'My Lord, I am satisfied.' He said: It was said to me, 'Look to your left.' And behold, the horizon was filled with men. He said: 'Indeed, with these there are seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without reckoning.' He said: Then 'Ukkasha b. Mihsan, the brother of Banu Asad b. Khuzayma, stood up and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, supplicate your Lord to make me one of them.' He said, 'O Allah, make him one of them.' He said: Then another man stood up, and the Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, 'Ukkasha has preceded you to it.' He said: Then he said that day, 'I hope that those who follow me from my ummah will be a quarter of the people of Paradise.' He said: So we said takbir. Then he said, 'I hope that you will be a third.' He said: Then we said takbir. Then he said, 'I hope that you will be half.' Then he recited: 'A multitude from the former generations and a multitude from the later generations.' Then he mentioned to us that some men among the believers discussed among themselves, saying, 'What do you think—do you think the deeds of these seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without reckoning are such that they are people born in Islam and did not cease until they died upon it?' He said, in what he narrated to them, until it reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said, 'It is not so. Rather, they are those who do not cauterize, do not seek ruqya, and do not practice tiyara, and upon their Lord they rely.' He said: And the Prophet ﷺ said that day, 'If you can—may my father and mother be sacrificed for you—be among the seventy thousand, then be among them. But if you are unable and fall short, then be among the people of the hillocks. And if you are unable and fall short, then be among the people of the horizon. For I saw with it many people assembling in crowds.'
