حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - ﷺ

كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ: السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  3. Abū al-Aḥwaṣ
  4. ʿAbdullāh
  5. al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ He used to greet to his right and to his left: "Peace be upon you and the mercy of God, peace be upon you and the mercy of God," until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen.
