✧ When he saw people turning away, he said, 'O God, seven like the seven of Joseph.' Then a year seized them that stripped away everything, until they ate the flesh of dead animals, skins, and carcasses, and one of them would look at the sky and see smoke from hunger. Abu Sufyan came to him and said, 'O Muhammad, you have come commanding obedience to God and the ties of kinship. Your people have perished, so pray to God for them.' God said: 'So watch for the day when the sky brings a visible smoke... We will take retribution.'
