حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَوَّامُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - ﷺ قَالَ:

مَنْ قَدَّمَ ثَلَاثَةً لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا الْحِنْثَ كَانُوا لَهُ حِصْنًا حَصِينًا مِنَ النَّارِ، قَالَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ: قَدَّمْتُ اثْنَيْنِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَ: وَاثْنَيْنِ، قَالَ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ أَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ سَيِّدُ الْقُرَّاءِ: قَدَّمْتُ وَاحِدًا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، فَقَالَ: وَوَاحِدًا، قَالَ: وَلَكِنَّ ذَاكَ فِي أَوَّلِ صَدْمَةٍ

✧ Whoever offers up three children who have not reached the age of accountability, they will be a strong fortress for him against the Fire. Abu Dharr said: I have offered up two, O Messenger of Allah. He said: And two. Ubayy b. Ka'b, Abu al-Mundhir, the leader of the reciters, said: I have offered up one, O Messenger of Allah. He said: And one. He said: But that is only at the first shock.
