✧ Indeed the believer sees his sins as if he were sitting beneath a mountain, fearing that it fall upon him, while the sinner sees his sins as a fly that passed over his nose and he said to it thus. He said: And he said: Allah is more delighted with the repentance of a servant than a man who alighted in a desolate, deadly wilderness, having with him his mount carrying his food and drink. He laid down his head and slept a sleep, then woke to find his mount with his food and drink had gone. He set out seeking it until thirst or hunger overcame him—Abu Shihab was uncertain—and said: I shall return to my place and die there. So he returned to his place, laid down his head, and woke to find his mount beside him, with his food and drink upon it.
