حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، قَالَ:

سَأَلْتُ مُرَّةَ الْهَمْدَانِيَّ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ: وَإِنْ مِنْكُمْ إِلا وَارِدُهَا فَحَدَّثَنِي أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ حَدَّثَهُمْ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، قَالَ: يَرِدُونَ عَلَى الصِّرَاطِ وَيَصْدُرُونَ عَنْهُ بِأَعْمَالِهِمْ، فَأَوَّلُهُمْ يَمُرُّ كَالرِّيحِ، ثُمَّ كَحُضْرِ الْفَرَسِ، ثُمَّ كَالرَّاكِبِ فِي رَحْلِهِ، ثُمَّ كَشَدِّ الرَّجُلِ، ثُمَّ كَمَشْيِهِ

Translation

✧ I asked Murrah al-Hamdani about His saying: 'There is none of you but will pass over it (Hell)', so he narrated to me that Abdullah narrated to them, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: 'They will come to the Sirat and pass over it according to their deeds. The first of them will pass like the wind, then like the galloping of a horse, then like a rider in his saddle, then like a man running, then like a man walking.'
