حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ الرِّفَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

مَنْ مَاتَ يَجْعَلُ لِلهِ نِدًّا، أَدْخَلَهُ النَّارَ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: وَأُخْرَى قُلْتُهَا: مَنْ مَاتَ لَا يَجْعَلُ لِلهِ نِدًّا، أَدْخَلَهُ اللهُ الْجَنَّةَ، وَإِنَّ هَذِهِ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْحَقَائِقَ كَفَّارَاتٌ لَمَّا بَيْنَهُنَّ مِنَ الْخَطَايَا مَا اجْتُنِبَ الْمَقْتَلُ

Translation

✧ Whoever dies while setting up a rival to Allah, He will admit him to the Fire. Abu Abd al-Rahman said: 'And another thing I said: Whoever dies while not setting up a rival to Allah, Allah will admit him to Paradise. And these prayers, the prescribed ones, are expiations for the sins between them as long as major sins are avoided.'
