حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ:

زَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَاطِمَةَ عَلَى دِرْعٍ حَدِيدٍ حُطَمِيَّةٍ، وَكَانَ سَلَّحَنِيهَا، وَقَالَ: ابْعَثْ بِهَا إِلَيْهَا تُحِلِّلْهَا بِهَا، فَبَعَثْتُ بِهَا إِلَيْهَا، وَاللهِ مَا ثَمَنُهَا كَذَا وَأَرْبَعِمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ married me to Fatimah for an iron coat of mail of the Hutami type, and he had given it to me as armor. He said: "Send it to her, so it may make her lawful to you by it." So I sent it to her. By Allah, its price was not such and such and four hundred dirhams.
