حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ:

سَرَيْنَا ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، لَوْ مَسِسْنَا الْأَرْضَ فَنِمْنَا، وَرَعَتْ رِكَابُنَا ؟ قَالَ: فَمَنْ يَحْرُسُنَا ؟ قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ: أَنَا، قَالَ: فَغَلَبَتْنِي عَيْنِي، فَلَمْ يُوقِظْنَا إِلَّا وَقَدْ طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ، وَلَمْ يَسْتَيْقِظْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَّا بِكَلَامِنَا قَالَ: فَأَمَرَ بِلَالًا، فَأَذَّنَ، ثُمَّ قَامَ، فَصَلَّى بِنَا

✧ We traveled one night with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: O Messenger of Allah, if only we touched the ground and slept, and our mounts grazed? He said: Then who will guard us? I said: I will. He said: But sleep overcame me, and nothing woke us except that the sun had risen, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not wake except by our talking. He said: He commanded Bilal, and he called the adhan, then he stood and prayed with us.
