حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ الْأَنْدَرَاوَرْدِيُّ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ عُمَرَ اطَّلَعَ عَلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَهُوَ يَمُدُّ لِسَانَهُ، فَقَالَ: مَا تَصْنَعُ يَا خَلِيفَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ؟ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ هَذَا أَوْرَدَنِي الْمَوَارِدَ، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ مِنَ الْجَسَدِ، إِلَّا وَهُوَ يَشْكُو ذَرَبَ اللِّسَانِ

✧ Umar looked in on Abu Bakr while he was sticking out his tongue. He said: 'What are you doing, O successor of the Messenger of God?' He said: 'This has brought me to ruin. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: There is no part of the body except that it complains of the sharpness of the tongue.'
