حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ، عَنِ النَّخَعِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:
كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ بَدَأَ بِكَفَّيْهِ، فَغَسَلَهُمَا، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ مَرَافِغَهُ وَأَفَاضَ عَلَيْهَا الْمَاءَ، فَإِذَا أَنْقَى أَهْوَى بِهِمَا إِلَى حَائِطٍ، ثُمَّ يَسْتَقْبِلُ الْوُضُوءَ، ثُمَّ يُفِيضُ الْمَاءَ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ

✧ When he wanted to perform ghusl from janabah, he would begin with his hands and wash them, then wash his armpits and pour water over them; when he had cleansed them, he would move them to a wall, then he would perform ablution as for prayer, then pour water over his head.
