حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ قَالَ لِي جَابِرٌ قَالَ

سَأَلَنِي ابْنُ عَمِّكَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ غُسْلِ الْجَنَابَةِ، فَقُلْتُ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَصُبُّ بِيَدَيْهِ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثَلَاثًا، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي كَثِيرُ الشَّعَرِ. فَقُلْتُ: مَهْ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي، كَانَ شَعَرُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ شَعَرِكَ وَأَطْيَبَ.

✧ Your cousin al-Hasan b. Muhammad asked me about the major ablution (ghusl al-janabah), so I said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pour water with his hands over his head three times. He said: 'But I have a lot of hair.' I said: 'Enough, O son of my brother! The hair of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was more abundant than your hair and better.'
