حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو، أَنَّ بَكْرَ بْنَ سَوَادَةَ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ يَزِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ - ﷺ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: مَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّا لَنُجْزَى بِكُلِّ مَا عَمِلْنَا ؟ هَلَكْنَا إِذًا، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ، يُجْزَى بِهِ الْمُؤْمِنُ فِي الدُّنْيَا، فِي مُصِيبَتِهِ فِي جَسَدِهِ فِيمَا يُؤْذِيهِ

✧ A man recited this verse: Whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it. Then he said, “Shall we be recompensed for everything we have done? Then we are ruined.” That reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, “Yes, the believer is recompensed for it in this world, in the affliction that befalls his body and in whatever harms him.”
