Translation

✧ Abu Hammam narrated to us, Ibn Wahb narrated to me, Bakr b. Mudar informed me, from Ibn al-Had, from Muhammad b. Ibrahim al-Taymi, from Abu Salama b. Abd al-Rahman, from Aisha, similarly. She said: The Prophet ﷺ said: Is that enough for you? I said: Do not be hasty, O Messenger of Allah. She said: It was not that I loved watching them, but I wanted the women to know of your standing and my position with you.

machine translationThe hadith of ʿĀʾishah is more authentic than the hadith of Nabhān, because Nabhān is not known for transmitting knowledge and narrates only two hadiths: this one, and the one about the mukātab, that if he has with him what he needs to pay, his mistress must veil herself from him. So the hadith of Nabhān is not to be acted upon, because it conflicts with the established hadiths.
