حَدَّثَنَا الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ: قَالَ:

ذَكَرَ عَلِيٌّ أَهْلَ النَّهَرَوَانِ قَالَ: فِيهِمْ رَجُلٌ مُودَنُ الْيَدِ، أَوْ مُثَدَّنُ الْيَدِ، أَوْ مُخْدَجُ الْيَدِ، لَوْلَا أَنْ تَبْطَرُوا لَأَنْبَأْتُكُمْ مَا وَعَدَ اللهُ الَّذِينَ يَقْتُلُونَهُمْ عَلَى لِسَانِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْهُ ؟ قَالَ: إِي وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ

Translation

✧ Ali mentioned the people of Nahrawan and said: Among them is a man with a deformed hand, or a stunted hand, or a maimed hand. Were it not that you would become arrogant, I would inform you of what God promised through the tongue of Muhammad ﷺ for those who kill them. He said: I said: You heard it from him? He said: Yes, by the Lord of the Kaaba.
