✧ Hind bt. Utba b. Rabi'a came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to pledge allegiance to him. He looked at her hands and said to her: 'Go and change your hand.' She said: So she went and changed it with henna, then came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: 'I accept your pledge on the condition that you do not associate anything with Allah, do not steal, and do not commit adultery.' She said: 'Would a free woman commit adultery?' He said: 'And do not kill your children for fear of poverty.' She said: 'Have you left us any children that we might kill them?' He said: Then she pledged allegiance to him. Then she said to him, while wearing two gold bracelets: 'What do you say about these two bracelets?' He said: 'Two embers from the embers of Hell.'
