✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ used to open the prayer with the takbir and the recitation with 'Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds.' When he raised his head from bowing, he would not prostrate until he stood straight. When he prostrated and raised his head, he would not prostrate again until he sat straight. He used to say the greeting in every two rakʿahs. He used to forbid the squatting of Satan, and he forbade us to spread the left foot and sit on the right foot. He used to finish the prayer with the salutation.

machine translationBadīl b. Maysarah narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Ḥusayn al-Muʿallim, his son ʿAbd al-Aʿlā b. Ḥusayn, Saʿīd b. Abī ʿArūbah, Abān b. Yazīd al-ʿAṭṭār, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Yazīd and Ibrāhīm b. Ṭahmān narrated it from Badīl, from Abū al-Jawzāʾ, from ʿĀʾishah. Ḥammād b. Zayd contradicted them, narrating it from Badīl, from ʿAbdullāh b. Shaqīq, from ʿĀʾishah. The correct statement is the statement of those who said: from Abū al-Jawzāʾ.
