✧ We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in three types: among us were those who entered ihram for hajj and 'umrah together, among us those who entered ihram for hajj alone, and among us those who entered ihram for 'umrah alone. Whoever entered ihram for hajj and 'umrah together did not exit ihram from anything forbidden to him until he completed the rituals of hajj. Whoever entered ihram for hajj alone did not exit ihram from anything forbidden to him until he completed the rituals of hajj. Whoever entered ihram for 'umrah alone and circumambulated the House and walked between al-Safa and al-Marwah exited ihram from what was forbidden to him until he began hajj.
