حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ الرِّفَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَجْلَحُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ حَبَّةَ بْنِ جُوَيْنٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ:
مَا أَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ بَعْدَ نَبِيِّهَا عَبَدَ اللهَ قَبْلِي، لَقَدْ عَبَدْتُهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَعْبُدَهُ أَحَدٌ مِنْهُمْ خَمْسَ سِنِينَ، أَوْ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ
