✧ Sawdah was a large woman, and when she went out she towered over the [other] women. ʻUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb saw her and said to her: Watch how you go out, for by God you do not escape our notice when you go out. Sawdah mentioned that to the Messenger of God ﷺ while a bone with meat was in his hand. He said: The bone fell from his hand out of awe of the revelation, and he said: God has granted you a dispensation to go out for your needs.
