  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationThis is a hadith narrated by ʿAbd al-Malik b. Ibrāhīm al-Judī, from Saʿīd b. Khālid al-Khuzāʿī, from ʿAbdullāh b. al-Faḍl al-Hāshimī, from ʿUbaydullāh b. Abī Rāfiʿ, from ʿAlī. A group narrated it from al-Judī, among them al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī al-Ḥulwānī and others. Aḥmad b. Manṣūr Zāj narrated it from al-Judī and added ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Aʿraj in the chain before ʿUbaydullāh b. Abī Rāfiʿ, and I do not think he preserved it well. The correct version is the statement of those who did not mention al-Aʿraj in it. The hadith is not established (ghayr thābit); Saʿīd b. Khālid al-Madanī was alone in narrating it from ʿAbdullāh b. al-Faḍl, and he is not strong (laysa bi-l-qawī), meaning Saʿīd b. Khālid.
