حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى الْهَرَوِيُّ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتِ:

اخْتَلَفُوا فِي دَفْنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حِينَ قُبِضَ. فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ: لَا يُقْبَضُ النَّبِيُّ إِلَّا فِي أَحَبِّ الْأَمْكِنَةِ إِلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: ادْفِنُوهُ حَيْثُ قُبِضَ

Translation

✧ They differed about the burial of the Prophet ﷺ when he passed away. Abu Bakr said: 'I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: "A prophet is not taken except in the place most beloved to him."' So he said: 'Bury him where he was taken.'
