حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ، حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الرِّفَاعِيُّ الْأَصَمُّ، عَنِ الْجَعْدِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ:

صَلَّى أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ فِي مَسْجِدِ بَنِي رِفَاعَةَ هَاهُنَا، فَأَمَرَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ أَنْ يُؤَذِّنَ، فَصَلَّى بِهِمُ الصُّبْحَ، فَلَمَّا أَنْ فَرَغَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ، فَقَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا صَلَّى بِأَصْحَابِهِ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ، فَقَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَمَلٍ يُخْزِينِي، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غِنًى يُطْغِينِي، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ صَاحِبٍ يُرْدِينِي، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ أَمْرٍ يُلْهِينِي، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فَقْرٍ يُنْسِينِي

✧ Anas b. Malik prayed in the mosque of Banu Rifa'ah here. He ordered a man from his companions to give the call to prayer, and he led them in the morning prayer. When he finished his prayer, he turned to face the people and said: "When the Messenger of God ﷺ prayed with his companions, he would turn to face the people and say: 'O God, I seek refuge in You from a deed that disgraces me. O God, I seek refuge in You from wealth that makes me transgress. O God, I seek refuge in You from a companion who destroys me. O God, I seek refuge in You from a matter that distracts me. O God, I seek refuge in You from poverty that makes me forget.'"
