  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationIt is narrated from Abū Ṣāliḥ al-Ḥarrānī, from Shuʿbah, from Abū al-Tayyāḥ, from Anas, but this is an error (wahm), because Abū Ṣāliḥ al-Ḥarrānī is ʿAbd al-Ghaffār b. Dāwūd, who did not hear anything from Shuʿbah, and Shuʿbah did not hear this hadith from Abū al-Tayyāḥ. The correct account is that Shuʿbah heard it from Ḥammād b. Abī Sulaymān, from ʿItāb the freed slave of Hurmuz, from Sulaymān al-Taymī, and from Qatādah, from Anas. It is also narrated from Shuʿbah, from Ḥumayd, from Anas, but this is not sound (lā yaṣiḥḥ).
