حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ الْجُرْجَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ:

مَطَرَتِ السَّمَاءُ بَرَدًا، فَقَالَ لَنَا أَبُو طَلْحَةَ وَنَحْنُ غِلْمَانٌ: نَاوِلْنِي يَا أَنَسُ مِنْ ذَاكَ الْبَرَدِ، فَجَعَلَ يَأْكُلُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ، فَقُلْتُ: أَلَسْتَ صَائِمًا ؟ قَالَ: بَلَى، إِنَّ هَذَا لَيْسَ بِطَعَامٍ وَلَا شَرَابٍ، وَإِنَّمَا هُوَ بَرَكَةٌ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ نُطَهِّرُ بِهِ بُطُونَنَا، قَالَ أَنَسٌ: فَأَتَيْتُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ، فَقَالَ: خُذْ عَنْ عَمِّكَ

Translation

✧ The sky rained hail. Abu Talhah said to us, while we were boys: Hand me some of that hail, O Anas. He began eating it while fasting. I said: Are you not fasting? He said: Yes, but this is not food or drink; it is only a blessing from the sky with which we cleanse our bellies. Anas said: I brought it to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him, and he said: Take from your uncle.
